Alrewas Methodist Church

Post Office Road, Alrewas, DE13 7BS

Minister: Revd. Jo Thornton

Sunday Services: 10:30

About us:

Our chapel is located centrally within the village, and together we try to be a faithful church family: worshipping God, following Jesus, listening to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, caring for one another and reaching out to our village and to the wider world with the message that God loves us all.

We join together every Sunday at 10.30am for our service, which is usually about an hour long, followed by refreshments. (Communion is celebrated once a month).

Every Wednesday the “Little Fishes” toddler group meets in our church hall from 9.15 – 11.15, giving preschool children and their carers a chance to enjoy being together.  We play, and refreshments are provided.  Half way through the session we gather in the church for a short story time, and before we go home we have a sing song.

On the second Friday of each month we celebrate Messy Church, which is great fun, and people of all ages are warmly welcome to join us!

We start in our hall at 5pm with crafts and activities on a Bible theme, and then at 6pm we move into the church for a celebration, in which we learn more about the Bible and about God, with prayers and Christian songs. Messy Church always ends with us all eating our tea together.

Other activities include our Wednesday prayer meeting at 9.15am, and the Monday afternoon "Drop in" session in our church hall, where everyone is welcome to "drop in" and enjoy friendship and refreshments.   We share many of our activities with our close friends at All Saints Parish Church in Alrewas.

Our church life also includes a fortnightly housegroup, and fund raising for various good causes throughout the year. You are very welcome to join us at any of our activities.
